Beaches and bays are literally moments away from the guesthouse. Victoria Bay, a 6km drive, is a beautiful beach to watch dolphins and whales aplenty, particularly between June and November. Herold’s Bay, just outside town, is popular for its bathing beach with tidal swimming and rock pools.  Nearby there are also some other beaches that are worthwhile visiting, like Kaaimans River, Kleinkranz, and Wilderness.

There’s always a good reason to go for a drive. Whether it be the circular drive that leads from George over the Montagu Pass and returns to town via the Outeniqua Pass or for breakfast on a Saturday morning at the Wild Oats Farmers Market in Sedgefield.

For the golfers there are various golf courses within 10km, including Fancourt Golf Course that transformed George into a golfing Mecca,

Canoeing down the Kaaimans river just 10km away from the guesthouse, is a great opportunity for the more active traveler to get close to nature, and abseiling down the river gorge is pure adrenaline.
